PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT COMMUNITY MEETING TO SAVE THE LIVES OF SACRAMENTO YOUTH
The last 3 weeks involved several multiple youth homicides throughout the city and/or county of Sacramento. Youth are dying in Sacramento and youth are being convicted to life sentences. Often in 2005 and in recent weeks in the 2006 year youth are considered the suspects for crimes of older and elderly adults. There is a youth violence crisis existing in Sacramento.
Famililies are faced with continuously burying their children. Siblings, friends, families, teachers, neighbors... are mourning. We request your attendance at the May 1, 2006 community meeting as we build a constructive dialog towards prevention of the violence, prevention of the deaths, prevention of the loss of freedom of Sacramento's youngest citizens.

* The name of the 19yr old fatally stabbed at a North area apt and driven by his friend to a nearby gas station in search of an ambulance is not listed above. (name not released on media tip)
*The name of the 16yr-old listed in grave condition, shot in the head on 1/13/06 is not listed above
2006 resulted in many non-fatal shootings of youth such as 19yr old Elizabeth Xiong who was shot @fast food resturant on Broadway on 2-9-06
11yr-old Arturo Islas who rode with his 17yr old neighbor to the store (both shot), Arturo is now blind
14yr old Anthony Collins who was shot in the face
15yr old shot in drive by on 2-6-06
Teen shot outside Wienershnitzel on El Camino
Two 16yr olds shot on 1/13/06, one listed in grave condition, the other shot in the upper body in stable condition, nor the 23yr old also shot.
From January 2006 to April 2006 each month involved multiple friends shot, where at least one victim died and friends were hospitalized.

Youth are suspects in the homicide occurring of a 37yr old victim @ the 47th street light rail station
In 2006 a 14yr old boy is being charged with homicide, facing life without the possiblity of parole
Througout 2005 and entering the 2006 year the list of juveniles being tried as adults for life term sentences are increasing. (In fact they outweigh the number of youth deaths) A community is coming together to think "outside" the box, to reach out to the youth of Sacramento in the Spirit of Love to find comprehensive effective means of prevention- preventing their deaths, preventing their loss of freedom.
A community will meet undivided of social class, age, ethnicity to focus on the Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness for all of Sacramento's sons and daughters
