Elizabeth, listed as the Citysearch Contributor, have you ever been to Sacramento? If so, how could you only find 8 - and frankly your selection results are unfathomable. Did you forget Music Circus, the Crocker, Tower Theatre, the Capitol, Land Park, Old Sacramento, Memorial Auditorium, the Julia Morgan House? And if you are going to list restaurants, how on earth did you leave out Frank Fats, an insitution of enormous proportions in town? I could go on.

SacEx readers: Let's gather our top ten list. Please send suggestions. Best list gets a free registration to the Sacramento Executive event on February 21st - which is a WEDNESDAY, not a Tuesday.

Elizabeth Bucceri responded to me via email. I offered to post her email as a comment to this article and she agreed. Here is what she wrote:

I just came across your Web site and a January post regarding Citysearch's Top Ten experiences in Sacramento. I was the local editor who put the piece together and wanted to clarify a few things...

First, not only have I been to Sacramento, I have lived here my entire life. So yes, I feel I am intimately aware of the city and what it has to offer. Also, keep in mind as a reviewer these are really just my personal opinions about attractions, nothing more.

Also, because Citysearch focuses on restaurants, the list really was intended to be restaurant-heavy. Per your suggestion about Frank Fat's, I'll have to agree; it is definitly "an institution of enormous proportion."

For your information this list was compiled years ago, hence the Chris Webber reference and the two missing recomendations - they have since closed and removed from the list.

Also, my focus was on things unique to Sacramento, and only Sacramento. For example, while the Crocker Art Museum is great, every city has a great museum. Same goes for Land Park, Memorial Auditorium, Tower Theater, etc. Plus, I wanted to focus on the quirky, such as Pancake Circus.

Oh, and the State Capitol was listed as number two, although you noted its absence from the list.

Just wanted to set the record straight, but I'm
willing to engage in a healthy debate over
Sacramento's attractions anytime, as I am a staunch defender of its greatness ....
